Ride the loop with confidence

How the ferry works.

The service is designed to be straightforward: buy the right number of ride tickets, keep them with you and return to the pickup point early for your scheduled departure.

Your ticket is required for boarding.

Keep it with you and present it each time you board. Seating on each departure is limited and follows check-in order, so a ticket does not hold a seat on a specific loop until you check in.

Arrive early at the Columbus Drive Shuttle Dock

For each hourly departure, boarding begins 15 minutes early and takes place during a five-minute window. For example, boarding for the 11:00 AM ferry is from 10:45–10:50 AM.

Get off at the stop you want

Choose Iguana Island, Noah’s Ark or Half Moon Bay and enjoy the stop at your own pace.

Be ready before the listed island time

The schedule shows when the ferry leaves each location. Be at the island pickup point 10–15 minutes early. The final pickup-only loop reaches Iguana Island at 5:10 PM, Noah’s Ark at 5:20 PM and Half Moon Bay at 5:30 PM.

Board in check-in order

The first guests checked in board first. If a ferry reaches capacity, you will take the next scheduled loop. Please remember that no later ferry operates after the final 5:00 PM return pickup loop.

Ferry questions

Before you hop aboard.

Plan the stops you want and purchase enough ride tickets for every time you expect to board.

Where does the Turks and Caicos Water Taxi depart?

The passenger ferry departs from the Turks Ventures office at the Columbus Drive Shuttle Dock in Providenciales. Use the meeting location provided with your ticket and arrive before boarding begins.

What time does the ferry checker show?

It shows the scheduled time the ferry leaves the location you selected. It is not your arrival or check-in time. Please be at the pickup point 10–15 minutes early and ready to board.

What is the 5:00 PM pickup-only loop?

It is the final return service of the day. No outbound guests board at the Columbus Drive Shuttle Dock at 5:00 PM. The ferry only collects guests from Iguana Island at 5:10 PM, Noah’s Ark at 5:20 PM and Half Moon Bay at 5:30 PM, then returns to the Shuttle Dock at 5:45 PM.

Does my ticket reserve a seat on a specific ferry?

No. Seating is limited and boarding is first come, first served based on check-in order. Guests who check in first board first. If the ferry is full, you will need to take the next scheduled loop.

What does the standard round-trip ticket include?

The standard round trip includes two ride segments per person: one ride to your selected stop and one ride back. Guests age three and older pay $15 plus taxes and booking fees for each ride segment.

Are island access and facility fees included?

No. The ferry ticket covers scheduled transportation only. National Trust access charges at Iguana Island or Half Moon Bay, and any Noah’s Ark admission or facility-use charges, are paid separately.

How do hop-off tickets work?

Each time you board the ferry, one ride ticket is required. For example, Shuttle Dock to Iguana Island, Iguana Island to Noah’s Ark and Noah’s Ark back toward the dock would require three ride tickets per person.

When does each outbound loop begin?

Outbound loops leave the Columbus Drive Shuttle Dock on the hour from 10:00 AM through 4:00 PM. For an 11:00 AM departure, arrive at 10:45 AM and board between 10:45 and 10:50 AM. The 5:00 PM loop is for return pickups only and does not board outbound guests at the dock.

What happens if I lose or cannot show my ticket?

You must present a valid ticket when boarding. If you do not have one, you will be asked to purchase another ticket before you can board the ferry.

What if the ferry is late?

The published times are the scheduled departure times from each location. Because the ferry completes a live route between several stops, it can occasionally experience delays. Stay at the marked pickup point so the crew can board you when it arrives.

Four stops. One easy island loop.
